PACKING AND STORAGE
We ensure that products and materials are handled, stored, packaged, and delivered by means that prevent damage or deterioration. The electrical insulators and power fittings are packed in plywood cases, wooden crates, or cartons on pallets. All the packages are seaworthy and available for land transportation.
Handling
Goods are handled using appropriate equipment. Forklift & Traveling Crane drivers are trained to operate the equipment in a safe manner to prevent damaging material.
Storage
Goods are protected in designated storage areas from damage or deterioration upon receipt and until incorporation into assembled kits or stand-alone items. Procedures describe how materials may be placed in and out of storage areas, and the evaluation of materials in storage areas.
Packing
Packaging design and labels are specified by written procedures. Requirements for non-standard packaging are identified and documented through the drawings and/or purchase orders.
Storage
To prevent damage or deterioration from handling, completed items are packaged or stored immediately after acceptance. Items with an expired shelf life are evaluated and dispositioned in accordance with documented procedures.
